In 1725, Johann Beringer, dean of the medical school of Würzburg, Germany, discovers fossils that he thinks will make him famous the world over — but the involvement of two of his University colleagues makes his path to immortality a bit rocky. Based almost completely on actual events, this original work is making its West Coast debut at Little Fish Theatre.

Stones … is a serious comedy about God, the meaning of friendship, destiny, and — of course — rocks.

Following an Englishman, American, and Irishman through their experience as hostages in Lebanon, McGuinness’ multi-award winning play is both funny and heart-wrenching. As the three men wrestle with their differences to develop an extraordinary friendship, we are asked to consider life on the edge of human existence. Ultimately the play is a celebration of life and humanity. “Captivating… spellbinding… unmissable” – SUNDAY EXPRESS
